Room Rate: $149 per night, plus Tax. Price includes pet fee and buffet breakfast for 2; valid for 2 nights prior or after the shows.  The Hilton has set aside 10 King and 20 Queen (double) rooms for ACA members and guests.  Reservations MUST be made by June 9th, after which date any unreserved rooms will be released to the public.

Thursday, July 10: 

  • Welcome Party at the host hotel (Hilton Garden Inn).
    ACA is happy to announce that it will host the Welcome Party on Thursday evening, at 6 pm on July 10th at the Hilton Garden Inn.  The club will provide a Texas Spud Bar free of charge to club members and their guests, however, reservations are required in order for the hotel to prepare food appropriately.  The Spud Bar includes a variety of toppings (cheese, broccoli, chili, sour cream, etc.), ice tea and water. A cash bar is available should you wish to have an alcoholic beverage. Welcome bags will be distributed at this event. Please make your reservation by June 26th .

  • Thanks to Linda Baker for volunteering to do the Welcome Bags. Please contact her for donations and help putting them together.
  • A Hospitality Chair is needed to help organize the Welcome Party, snacks in the club room, etc.

  • A Ring Steward for our Concurrent Specialty – and maybe the National – is needed.
  • A Memorabilia Chair is needed to contact club members about items for the display in the club room, organize it and ensure that items are returned to their rightful owners. 
  • Volunteers are needed to help the Auction Chairs (Doug and Donna Wolfe) organize the auction donations and run the event on Saturday evening.

  • Dress for the National is “fancy” as it is our 60th Anniversary celebration. Western attire for the balance of the weekend is suggested. And don’t forget to wear your BLING and commemorative corsage or boutonniere!
  • Anniversary themed corsages and boutonnieres made of yellow roses and Texas bluebonnets, to include a commemorative laser engraved souvenir medallion will be available for purchase by pre-order only. The medallion can
    be worn as a necklace, pin or on a key chain. Purchase information will be posted soon.
  • (NEW!) The Laurel Birch quilt raffle was successful! Thank you to all that supported the event. Congratulations to Barry Leece for winning this beautiful quilt! Proceeds from the raffle will be used to pay for the Welcome
    Party’s Texas Spud Bar. 
  • Look for information on upcoming raffles for the incubator and whelping nest on the ACA website, Facebook page and future newsletters.
  • As the room rate is valid 2 days before and after our shows, come early or stay late to enjoy all that San Antonio has to offer: The Alamo, The Riverwalk, Six Flags, Seaworld and so much more.
